Find an Osceola County Jail Inmate and Check Current Custody

If you are trying to find someone arrested in Kissimmee, St. Cloud or elsewhere in Osceola County, start with the Osceola County Corrections inmate search. It is the county-operated database for people currently in Corrections custody and is the best place to verify a booking before checking bond, court, visitation or inmate-service information.

Official inmate lookup:
Open Osceola County Inmate Search Corrections & Jail Services

Important: the county states that the inmate database is updated several times each day. A person who has been released is removed during a later update, so a current search result can change quickly.

Do not confuse the jail with the Sheriff’s Office. The Osceola County Correctional Facility is operated by the Osceola County Corrections Department. The county says jail operations were transferred from the Sheriff’s Office to the Board of County Commissioners in 1997. The Sheriff’s Office still handles law-enforcement functions such as arrests and warrants.

How to Search the Osceola County Jail Roster

  1. Open the official Osceola County inmate search.
  2. Enter the inmate’s name in the search field. Start with the surname if you are unsure of the complete name.
  3. Review the matching names and inmate ID numbers.
  4. Open the correct person’s record instead of relying only on the search-results row.
  5. Compare identifying information such as full name, date of birth, inmate ID and booking number.
  6. Review the listed offenses, Florida statute numbers, court references, jail status and bond amounts.
  7. If you need the actual criminal court docket, continue to the Osceola County Clerk of Court and use Court Records Search.

The county database can include people in Osceola County Corrections custody who are physically housed somewhere else, so a listing does not necessarily mean the person is inside the Simpson Road facility at that moment.

What an Osceola County Inmate Record Can Show

Record field What it tells you
Name / AKAThe booked name and, when recorded, another known name.
Inmate IDA Corrections identifier that is useful for mail and other inmate services.
Booking numberIdentifies the current or related jail booking.
Date of birth / physical identifiersHelps distinguish people who have similar names.
OffenseThe charge or allegation attached to the booking record.
Florida statuteThe statute number associated with a listed offense.
BondThe amount displayed for an individual charge when applicable.
Total bondTotal of the displayed bond amounts; release eligibility can still depend on holds or court orders.
Jail/case statusMay indicate a pending arraignment, pending trial or another current status.
Court referenceUseful when continuing the search through the Clerk of Court.
A jail booking is not a conviction. Charges can later be amended, dismissed or resolved differently in court. Use the Clerk of Court record when you need the judicial case or final disposition.

If the Inmate Does Not Appear in the Search

A missing result does not always mean the person was never arrested. Work through these checks before using an unofficial inmate directory:

  • Recent arrest: intake and booking may not yet be complete. Search again after the county database updates.
  • Name variation: try only the surname, remove a middle name, or check hyphenated and compound surnames.
  • Already released: the county removes released inmates from the current search during a later update.
  • Transferred: a person may have moved to another county, state prison, federal custody or another agency.
  • Wrong county: confirm the arrest actually occurred in Osceola County.
  • Court case but no current custody: an open criminal case can remain searchable with the Clerk even when the defendant is not in jail.

If the online search still does not resolve the question, call Osceola County Corrections at 407-742-4444.

How to Check Bond and Start the Release Process

  1. Search the inmate in the official current-population database.
  2. Open the person’s record and review the bond shown for each charge.
  3. Look for any $0 bond, hold or court status that may affect release.
  4. Open the county’s official bond instructions.
  5. If paying electronically, the county directs users to OsceolaBail.com.
  6. You may also use a registered bail-bond agent. The county also lists cashier’s check and money order as options for paying without a bondsman.
  7. After payment, allow Corrections to complete the release process.
No cash bonds at the jail: Osceola County states that cash is not accepted as bond payment. The county also warns families about scammers who claim extra money must be sent through Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay or Cash App. Corrections says it does not call people asking for bond or GPS-release payments through those services.

The county estimates that processing a release after a bond or purge has been paid can take approximately 4–6 hours and sometimes longer because other legal or operational factors may need to be cleared first.

Initial Appearance and Court Date Information

An initial appearance is the first hearing at which a judge addresses matters such as bond and pretrial-release conditions. Osceola County says these hearings are generally held at:

  • Monday–Friday: 1:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 10:30 a.m.

Schedules can change. For the current docket, open OsceolaClerk.com and select Court Docket.

How to check the criminal court case

  1. Get the defendant’s full name and court reference/case number from the jail record when available.
  2. Open the Osceola County Clerk website.
  3. Select Court Records Search.
  4. Search by the defendant’s information or case number.
  5. Match the correct case before relying on a court date or case status.
  6. Review the available docket entries and hearing information.

The Corrections Department lists 407-742-3566 for obtaining case information by phone.

Visiting an Osceola County Jail Inmate

Osceola County uses scheduled video visitation. The county’s current guidance says visitation is normally available seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., subject to scheduling and operational restrictions.

  1. Confirm that the person is still in Osceola County Corrections custody.
  2. Schedule through the jail’s approved ICSolutions visitation system or use the lobby kiosk.
  3. For an onsite visit, arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  4. Bring valid photo identification.
  5. Place personal property in the provided locker when directed.
  6. Follow staff instructions and the jail dress code.

The county says inmates can receive up to two hours of visitation per week, scheduling permitting. Onsite visits take place through video equipment rather than traditional face-to-face contact. Remote video visits are also available through the approved provider and may involve a fee.

Basic visitation dress rules

  • No open-toe shoes.
  • No plunging necklines.
  • Shorts and dresses must extend to at least mid-thigh.
  • No transparent clothing.
  • Clothing must be properly sized.
  • No suggestive, provocative or offensive clothing.

Check current Osceola County visitation rules before traveling, because temporary closures or schedule changes can occur.

How to Send Mail to an Osceola County Inmate

Regular personal postal mail is processed through Smart Communications rather than being mailed directly to the jail.

Regular inmate mail address
Smart Communications | Osceola County Corrections
[Inmate Full Name] #[Inmate ID]
P.O. Box 9127
Seminole, FL 33775-9127

Put the inmate’s name and booking/inmate ID number clearly on the outside of the envelope or postcard and include a return address. Routine personal mail is scanned and made available to the inmate through jail kiosks or tablets.

Items that go directly to the jail

Osceola County says legal mail, court documents, bank statements and qualifying publications continue to be sent directly to:

Osceola County Corrections
402 Simpson Road
Kissimmee, FL 34744
  • Packages are generally prohibited unless Corrections administration gives prior approval.
  • Non-privileged mail is inspected for contraband.
  • Privileged mail is inspected in the inmate’s presence.
  • Inmates may keep up to 10 photographs under the published mail rules.
  • Books must comply with the jail’s current source and content rules.
  • Hard-cover books are not permitted for normal inmate possession.

The county currently states that books are accepted only when sent directly from the publisher. Check the live mail policy before ordering a publication.

Phone Calls and Electronic Messages

Inmates can make outgoing calls through the facility’s approved telephone system. Routine incoming calls to inmates are not allowed except for qualifying life-or-death emergencies.

  • ICSolutions provides the jail’s prepaid telephone services.
  • Families can establish prepaid services for an approved telephone number.
  • Inmate calls are recorded and monitored, except qualifying attorney-client calls.
  • ICSolutions customer care is listed by the county at 1-888-506-8407.
  • Electronic messages are available through the jail’s Smart Communications system and are subject to review.

How to Put Money on an Inmate’s Commissary Account

Osceola County uses Access Corrections for inmate commissary deposits. The county currently lists three methods:

  1. Online debit/credit-card deposit through Access Corrections.
  2. Telephone deposit at 1-866-345-1884.
  3. Cash deposit at the Access Corrections kiosk in the jail lobby.

The county publishes the following deposit-fee schedule. Because vendor pricing can change, confirm the final fee shown before submitting payment.

Deposit Lobby kiosk Online Telephone
$0.01–$19.99$3.00$2.95$3.95
$20.00–$99.99$3.00$5.95$6.95
$100.00–$199.99$3.00$7.95$8.95
$200.00–$300.00$3.00$9.95$10.95

Inmates are generally allowed to make commissary purchases twice per week. The county also identifies iCare as its option for approved food/gift packages.

Property Release and Personal Items

An inmate can authorize property to be released to another person by submitting a Property Request Authorization identifying the items and the person who may collect them. Corrections then contacts the approved recipient to arrange pickup.

The jail says eyeglasses and sealed contact lenses can be accepted by arrangement. For instructions, contact the on-duty Watch Commander at 407-742-4346 or 407-742-4347. Ordinary street clothing and shoes are generally not accepted for inmate wear because uniforms are provided.

Release and Custody Notifications Through VINE

If you need continuing custody updates rather than manually checking the jail roster, Osceola County participates in VINE — Victim Information and Notification Everyday.

VINE can provide available information such as:

  • whether an inmate remains in custody;
  • custody location;
  • pending charges;
  • known scheduled release information; and
  • bond information.

The county says the booking number is the easiest identifier to use. General members of the public may register through VINELink or call 1-877-846-3435. According to the county, electronic notification normally occurs within about 15 minutes of a qualifying record change, with telephone calls continuing every two hours for up to 48 hours.

Read Osceola County’s official VINE information.

How to Request Osceola County Jail Records

The current inmate database is meant for quick custody checking. If you need a jail record that is not available in the public inmate search, use the Corrections Department’s public-information request process.

  1. Open Osceola County Jail Record Requests.
  2. Select the public-information request option.
  3. Describe the inmate or record as specifically as possible.
  4. Include identifiers such as full name, inmate ID, booking number or relevant date when known.
  5. Wait for the county to review the request.
  6. The county will advise you if charges apply before processing the request.

Routine requests are processed during normal business hours. Jail Records can also be reached at 407-742-4411.

Warrants Are Different From the Jail Roster

A person can have an outstanding warrant without currently being incarcerated, so a no-result inmate search does not prove there is no warrant.

Osceola County Corrections directs warrant questions to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Warrants Unit is listed at 407-742-6515.

If the Inmate Was Transferred

County jail, state prison and federal custody are separate systems. If a person was previously listed in Osceola County but has disappeared from the current roster, check the case and custody path before assuming the person was released.
