Find a Clark County Jail Inmate and Check Current Custody

If you are looking for someone arrested in Clark County, Nevada, start with the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) inmate search. The official lookup can show current custody information, inmate ID, case details, charges, arrest date, bail information, housing and scheduled court activity when those fields are available.

Main county facility:
Clark County Detention Center
Location:
330 S. Casino Center Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89101
Information line:
(702) 671-3900
Roster coverage:
People currently in CCDC custody
Search by:
Last name, inmate ID or Justice Court case number
Information checked:
October 16, 2026
Important: CCDC is not the only jail system in the Las Vegas Valley. A person may instead be held by the City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas or Henderson depending on the arresting agency and jurisdiction.

How to Search the Clark County Jail Roster

  1. Open the official Clark County inmate-search page above.
  2. Choose one search method: inmate name, inmate ID or Justice Court case number.
  3. For a name search, enter at least two letters of the last name. Using more letters usually gives a cleaner result.
  4. Submit the search and open the matching inmate record.
  5. Compare the inmate ID, age, arrest date, case number and other available details before assuming the record belongs to the correct person.
  6. Review current custody, charge, bail, detainer, housing and court information.
  7. For time-sensitive release or custody information, call CCDC at (702) 671-3900.

The online database is updated during the day, but custody information can change quickly. The county specifically advises calling the information line when the most current status is important.

What the CCDC Search Result Means

Field What it tells you
Inmate ID CCDC’s identifying number for the person. Save it because it is useful for funds, mail, visitation and other jail services.
Case The court case connected with the custody record.
Charge The accusation listed with the booking. A charge does not mean the person has been convicted.
Arrest date Helps identify the current custody event and distinguish people with similar names.
Detainer May indicate another agency, warrant or legal matter that can affect release.
Cash/Surety bail Available bail information connected with the case. Confirm the amount before making payment.
Housing The current detention housing information when publicly displayed.
Scheduled department/action/date Available court scheduling information associated with the inmate’s case.

No Result? Check the Correct Clark County Detention System

A failed CCDC search does not automatically mean the person was released or never arrested. Clark County has several separate detention systems.

Likely custody Best next step Phone
Clark County Detention Center Search CCDC current custody 702-671-3900
City of Las Vegas Detention Center Search Las Vegas city inmates 702-229-6444, option 3
North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center Use the North Las Vegas offender-search route 702-633-1400
Henderson Detention Center Search Henderson inmates 702-267-4652
Nevada state prison Use the Nevada DOC Offender Search NDOC Family Services: 775-977-5707

Also consider these situations:

  • Very recent arrest: booking may still be processing.
  • Released or transferred: CCDC’s public search is focused on people currently in custody.
  • Under age 18: juveniles are not displayed in the public CCDC lookup.
  • Protective custody: these inmates are not displayed publicly.
  • John/Jane Doe: call CCDC. The county states that a Doe inmate cannot post bail until identity is established through the detention-center fingerprint process.
  • State-prison transfer: use the Nevada Department of Corrections search rather than the county jail roster.

Check Charges, Court Dates and Case Status

The jail roster is a custody record, not the final court record. Once you have the inmate’s case number, use the appropriate court system to verify hearings, filed charges and case activity.

Las Vegas Justice Court handles available criminal records in its public system, while District Court provides separate civil/criminal case information. Sealed or otherwise restricted cases will not appear publicly.

Bail and Release at CCDC

Do not rely only on the bail amount displayed beside an inmate’s name. Other cases, warrants or detainers can affect whether release is possible.

Before attempting bail, confirm:

  • the inmate’s full name and CCDC inmate ID;
  • the case number;
  • the current bail amount;
  • which court controls the case; and
  • whether another case or detainer affects release.

Clark County Detention Center
PO Box 43059

The current mail rules prohibit items such as greeting cards, postcards, glitter, rhinestones, stickers and glued materials. Publications generally must come directly from a publisher or commercial dealer.

Check current inmate-mail rules before sending anything.

How to Send Money Safely

  1. Find the inmate in the official CCDC search first.
  2. Copy the inmate’s correct name and ID number.
  3. For TouchPay, use facility number 289101.
  4. Check the recipient information before submitting payment.
  5. Save your receipt.
Check carefully before paying: CCDC states that the sender is responsible for choosing the correct inmate and that funds sent to the wrong account may not be refundable.

TouchPay phone deposits are available at 1-866-232-1899. The detention center states electronic transactions normally post quickly but may take up to 24 hours.

CCDC’s payment mailing instructions are separate from ordinary social-mail instructions and can change, so use the live inmate-funds page if you plan to mail a payment rather than using TouchPay or the lobby kiosk.

CCDC Phone Accounts After June 1, 2026

Friends and family can no longer deposit directly into an inmate’s old PIN-debit phone account. CCDC currently lists these options:

  • TouchPay commissary account: can support inmate telephone and tablet services.
  • GettingOut My Messaging: for services tied to the sender’s phone number or email, including messages, photos and e-cards.
  • GettingOut AdvancePay: for phone calls and video visits.

ViaPath customer service for CCDC is 1-877-650-4249. For an emergency involving an inmate, contact CCDC at 702-671-3900; inmates cannot receive normal incoming calls.

Need Proof Someone Was Incarcerated?

CCDC provides a Letter of Incarceration. Requests can be emailed to dsdrsuc@lvmpd.com. Include a valid email address or mailing address for the response. LVMPD currently states there is no fee for a Letter of Incarceration.

This is useful when a current-custody search is no longer enough because the person has already been released or transferred.
