Find a Warren County Jail Inmate and Check the Current Roster
For someone recently arrested in Bowling Green or elsewhere in Warren County, start with the Warren County Regional Jail inmate roster. The jail’s official website links to the Public Safety Cloud/JailTracker system used for current adult custody searches.
This guide is for Warren County, Kentucky. It is not for Warren County in Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia or another state.
Information reviewed October 18, 2026. Custody, bond, visitation and release information can change throughout the day.
How to Search the Warren County Jail Roster
You do not need to start with an unofficial people-search service. The Warren & Edmonson Counties Commonwealth’s Attorney also links directly to the Warren County inmate search as one of its defendant-record resources.
- Open the official Warren County inmate search. Use the JailTracker link above or enter through the Warren County Regional Jail website.
- Complete the security check if prompted. JailTracker may require a validation or CAPTCHA step before displaying search controls.
- Start with the inmate’s last name. Add the first name if the surname produces several possible matches. Use the legal name rather than a nickname when possible.
- Open the most likely matching record. Compare the name and any available booking, age, charge, bond, court or identifying information before assuming you found the correct person.
- Confirm anything time-sensitive. If you are about to post bond, drive to the jail, schedule a visit or send money, call 270-843-4606 when the online record is unclear or recently changed.
What the Warren County Inmate Search Can Help You Verify
The exact public fields can change with the JailTracker configuration and the person’s custody status. Use the roster primarily to establish whether the person is in local adult jail custody and to identify the booking you need for the next step.
| Information | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Inmate name | Compare the legal name carefully, especially when several people have similar names. |
| Booking information | Helps distinguish a current arrest from an older or different custody event. |
| Listed charges | Shows booking-related allegations. Use the court record for filed charges and later case changes. |
| Bond information | May show the bond amount or type when available. Verify before making payment. |
| Court information | May provide a court or case reference that can be checked through Kentucky public court records. |
| Booking photo | May appear when the jail’s current public configuration makes the image available. |
| Custody or release information | Helps determine whether the person is still held, but same-day changes should be confirmed with the jail. |
A jail booking record is not a conviction and does not prove guilt. Charges can be amended, dismissed or resolved differently after the booking.
If You Cannot Find the Person
A zero-result search does not automatically mean the person was never arrested. Use the next source according to the situation instead of repeatedly searching unrelated inmate directories.
| Situation | Best next step |
|---|---|
| Arrest happened very recently | Allow time for intake and retry JailTracker, then call Warren County Regional Jail at 270-843-4606. |
| Name may be different | Try the legal surname, alternate spelling, hyphenated name or former surname. |
| Person may have been released | Check VINE for custody information or the Kentucky court case for the arrest. |
| Person was sentenced or moved to state custody | Search the Kentucky Department of Corrections KOOL system. |
| You need the criminal case, not current custody | Use KYeCourts public case records or contact the Warren Circuit Court Clerk. |
| Person is in federal custody | Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator rather than a county-jail roster. |
| The person is a juvenile | Do not expect the adult jail roster to function as a public juvenile locator. Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center is a separate Kentucky DJJ facility. |

How to match a jail booking to the court case
- Get the inmate’s full legal name from the jail roster.
- Note any case, charge or court information shown with the booking.
- Open the KYeCourts guest public-record search.
- Choose Warren County when the search interface requests a county.
- Search using the defendant’s name or case number.
- Compare the court case with the jail booking before relying on a hearing date or charge description.
Bond payment detail that is easy to miss
The Warren County Regional Jail’s official bond page states that when a bond is paid using a money order or cashier’s check, it must be payable to the Warren County Circuit Court Clerk. A payment made out to another payee may be refused.
Warren County Jail Visitation
The jail’s current visitation hub provides links for video-visit information, scheduling, registration, instructions, visitor rules and attorney visitation.
A separate facility rules page still published by the jail lists Wednesday and Saturday for main-jail visitation by appointment. It instructs family and friends to call 270-843-4606 during the published weekday scheduling window of 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and says the appointment should be made the day before the requested visit. Class D housing has separate schedules.
How to Send Mail to a Warren County Inmate
Warren County Regional Jail uses a Securus Digital Mail Center for regular personal inmate mail. A jail notice effective July 15, 2024 changed the scanning-center mailing address.
Current published personal-mail format
Incarcerated Name & ID #Warren County, KY, C/O Securus DMC
PO BOX 22587
Tampa, FL 33622
Put your full name and return address on the envelope. The 2024 notice says personal mail received at the Digital Mail Center is scanned and made available electronically when it meets facility requirements.
- Pictures and drawings may be scanned if they meet the jail’s requirements.
- Paper larger than 8.5 × 11 inches and non-paper items are not accepted for scanning.
- Packages, certified mail, checks and money orders are not accepted at the Digital Mail Center.
- Mail that cannot be scanned may be returned to the sender.
- The notice states physical mail is discarded 90 days after it is scanned and uploaded.
- Legal mail and publications should not be sent to the personal-mail scanning address; verify the facility’s current process before sending them.
Adding money to an inmate account
The jail’s published rules have listed front-office deposits, approved financial instruments and a lobby funding kiosk, while its website maintains a separate Inmate Funding section. Because vendors and payment methods can change, first identify the inmate correctly and then use the current funding instructions from the jail.
The jail’s money-order page states that a money order intended for an inmate must be payable to the inmate and include the purchaser’s information. Do not send an inmate money order to the Securus Digital Mail Center.
Inmate telephone calls
The jail’s published telephone policy states that newly admitted inmates are allowed an opportunity to complete a call to an attorney or family member during the booking period as time permits. Jail calls may be monitored or recorded. Current phone-account services should be checked through the jail’s Phone Services section before purchasing calling credit.
How to Request an Older Warren County Jail Record
The live roster is designed for custody lookup, not as a permanent historical archive. For an older booking, jail document or record that no longer appears publicly, use the Warren County Regional Jail open-records process.
- Open the jail’s Open Records Information page. It links the Warren County Regional Jail request form and related open-records materials.
- Identify the person and date range. Give the inmate’s full name and approximate booking, release or incident dates when known.
- Describe the exact record. Ask for a specific booking record, document or other identifiable jail record instead of requesting “everything.”
- Specify the preferred format. The form asks requesters to identify the records and desired format and whether copies are requested.
- Complete the required requester information. The form includes name, telephone number, address, commercial-purpose information, signature and date.
For the court case connected with an arrest, use the Circuit Court Clerk rather than asking the jail for the court file.
Warren County JailTracker vs. KOOL vs. VINE
These systems answer different questions. Using the wrong one is a common reason people think an inmate record is missing.
| System | Use it for | Do not treat it as |
|---|---|---|
| Warren County JailTracker | Current or recent adult Warren County Regional Jail custody and available booking information. | A complete criminal-history report. |
| Kentucky KOOL | People under Kentucky Department of Corrections jurisdiction or supervision. | A replacement for a newly booked county-jail roster. |
| KYeCourts | Public Kentucky case information, including the court case connected with an arrest. | A live jail-housing roster. |
| VINE | Custody-status information and available release, transfer or other notifications. | A substitute for direct emergency or safety planning. |
The Kentucky Department of Corrections warns that offender information newer than 120 days in KOOL may not yet be finalized. That is another reason a fresh Warren County arrest should normally be checked in the county roster first.
Kentucky VINE lists 1-800-511-1670 for registration and custody-notification access. VINE can provide notifications for supported custody-status changes such as release or transfer.
