Pueblo County, Colorado · Official custody lookup guide

Find a Pueblo County Jail Inmate and Check Current Custody

If you need to know whether someone is currently in the Pueblo County jail, start with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office inmate query. It searches people currently in custody at the Pueblo County Detention Center and accepts a full or partial first name, last name, or both.

Fastest route: search the official inmate query, open the correct person’s row, verify the date of birth, then note the booking number, charges and available bond information before using visitation, mail, money or court services.

Search inputsFirst name, last name, or partial spelling.
1
Open the Sheriff’s inmate lookup.
Use the official Pueblo County Sheriff Inmate Lookup. If the embedded search does not display, use the Sheriff’s direct link to the public inmate query.
2
Enter the person’s name.
The direct query accepts a last name, first name or both. The Sheriff system also allows only a few letters, which is useful when you are unsure of the spelling.
3
Review the matching rows.
The result list displays a name number, last name, first name, middle name and date of birth. Do not select a person based only on a common name.
4
Open the correct row.
Click or tap the matching inmate. The Sheriff’s detention FAQ directs users to the inmate query for current charges and bond information, and the booking number can also be obtained there.
5
Save the booking number.
You may need it for inmate mail, deposits and other detention services. Also note any case number, court, charge and bond information shown.
Search tip: start with the last name only if an exact full-name search fails. Then add the first name to narrow the results.

What the Roster Can Tell You

InformationHow to use it
Name numberHelps distinguish people with similar names in the Sheriff’s system.
Full name and date of birthUse these to make sure you have selected the correct person.
Booking numberImportant for inmate mail and useful when dealing with detention services.
Charge informationShows allegations connected with the current jail record. A charge is not a conviction.
Court informationHelps identify which court is handling the related matter.
Bond type or amountShows available bond information when applicable. Confirm the current amount before paying.
Jail record versus court outcome: the inmate roster is a custody record, not the final result of a criminal case. Charges can be amended, dismissed or resolved differently. Use the Colorado Judicial Branch when you need a hearing, docket or final court disposition.

Current Roster vs. Daily Arrest Report

Pueblo County provides two useful but different public resources. Do not treat them as interchangeable.

ResourceBest forImportant limitation
Inmate QueryChecking who is currently in detention-center custodyA released or transferred person may no longer appear.
Arrest Summary ReportsReviewing recent arrests, booking numbers, offenses, courts and bond fieldsThe Sheriff’s reports can include non-custody bookings, so appearing in a report does not prove the person is still jailed.
Sheriff RecordsHistorical booking or charge information and formal record requestsRecords may require processing time and fees.
Colorado court docketHearings, case numbers and court activityA court case does not by itself confirm current jail custody.

The Sheriff’s Current Arrests and Law Incidents archive publishes dated arrest-summary reports. These reports can contain arrest time and date, booking number, name number, offense information, court codes and bond fields.

If the Inmate Does Not Appear

  1. Search only the last name.
  2. Try a shorter partial spelling.
  3. Check the date of birth before ruling out a similar name.
  4. If the arrest was very recent, allow time for intake and booking to be completed, then search again.
  5. Remember that the Sheriff’s public lookup is for current custody; someone who was released may disappear from it.
  6. Check the Sheriff’s arrest-report archive if you are looking for a recent arrest rather than current custody.
  7. If the person may have been transferred to a Colorado state prison, use the Colorado Department of Corrections Offender Search.
  8. For a court case or upcoming hearing, use the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search.
  9. For older booking information, use the Sheriff’s records-request process.
  10. For same-day custody questions, call detention reception at 719-583-6135.
Waiting for a release or transfer?

Colorado VINE can provide custody-change notifications for participating county-jail systems. Registration is separate from the Pueblo inmate roster. See Colorado VINE information. State-prison custody should still be checked through CDOC.

Important 2026 Update: The Pueblo County Jail Moved

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office completed the move to its new detention facility in July 2026. The current jail address is:

Pueblo County Detention Center
3830 Medal of Honor Blvd
Pueblo, CO 81008
Detention: 719-583-6135

The Sheriff’s official jail-transition notice states that jail operations and jail-related public services moved to the new facility and that the former jail at 909 Court Street closed.

Do not rely on an old jail address. Some older Sheriff pages still contain references to 909 Court Street. That address may still appear in historical or administrative material, but the current detention facility is at 3830 Medal of Honor Blvd. Call detention reception before traveling for an in-person jail service.

How to Check Bond, Release and Court Information

Start with the inmate record. The Sheriff’s FAQ directs users to the inmate query for current charges and bond information.

  1. Search the inmate and verify the date of birth.
  2. Open the record and note every listed charge and bond entry.
  3. Check whether more than one charge, case or hold is involved.
  4. Open the Sheriff’s official bond instructions.
  5. If paying electronically, follow the Sheriff’s current approved payment route.
  6. After an online or kiosk bond payment, the Sheriff’s bond instructions say to notify detention reception at 719-583-6135, option 5, so staff can complete the posting process.
Location warning for bond payments: the Sheriff’s bond-information page still contains legacy references to the former 909 Court Street jail. Because the Sheriff’s July 2026 transition notice says jail public services moved to 3830 Medal of Honor Blvd, confirm the current in-person payment location by calling the jail before driving there.

The Sheriff describes cash, surety and property-bond routes. Property bonds are handled through the 10th Judicial District Clerk’s Office. Never assume that paying one displayed bond guarantees immediate release; another hold, case or release condition may still apply.

Pueblo County Bond Hearings

The Colorado Judicial Branch’s Pueblo County page currently lists the regular bond-hearing schedule as:

  • Monday: 11:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday through Friday: 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 1:30 p.m.
  • Bond hearings are listed for Division 101.

Court schedules can change, including around holidays. Check the Judicial Branch page before relying on a hearing time.

Pueblo Combined Court
501 N. Elizabeth Street
Pueblo, CO 81003
Phone: 719-404-8700

The 10th Judicial District covers Pueblo County, including Pueblo, Pueblo West, Colorado City, Rye, Beulah, Avondale and Boone.

Pueblo County Inmate Visitation

Pueblo County uses video visitation. The Sheriff’s visitation page says visitors must create an account through JailATM.

Remote videoAvailable from a smartphone, tablet or computer. The Sheriff states that remote visits are charged by the minute.
On-site videoVideo kiosks in the jail lobby are free. The Sheriff’s visitation page currently limits free lobby-kiosk time to 80 minutes per inmate per week.

The Sheriff’s detention FAQ also lists visitation availability from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, subject to operational breaks. It says lobby visits should be registered at least one hour before the visit and remote visits at least 24 hours ahead.

For inmates in segregation, video visits may only be available during the inmate’s permitted out-time. Call 719-583-6135 if you need to verify an out-time or current visiting restriction.

Mail, Money, Commissary and Phone Services

Sending Mail

The Sheriff’s dedicated Inmate Mail page states that regular U.S. mail is converted to a digital format for delivery to the inmate. Original letters, photographs and drawings are destroyed after scanning. Legal mail and publisher parcels are handled differently.

Address currently shown on the dedicated Inmate Mail page
Pueblo County Jail
Inmate Full Name – Inmate Booking #
PO Box 16120
Jonesboro, AR 72403
Check the address before mailing. An older Pueblo County Sheriff FAQ and mail-procedure PDF still display a different San Antonio, Texas scanning address. The dedicated Inmate Mail page currently shows the Jonesboro, Arkansas address above. Because two official resources conflict, re-open the dedicated mail page immediately before sending anything.

The Sheriff’s FAQ gives these examples for ordinary inmate mail:

Examples acceptedExamples not accepted
Regular lettersFood
PostcardsGlue or tape
Greeting cardsForeign substances such as lipstick or crayon
Photos printed on photo paperPhotos not printed on photo paper

The Sheriff’s list is not exhaustive. Verify current mail rules before sending unusual items.

Adding Money to an Inmate Account

The Sheriff’s Jail Web Services page routes inmate cash-account deposits through Access Corrections.

  1. Find the inmate first and record the correct name and booking information.
  2. Open the Pueblo County Jail Web Services page.
  3. Select Submit Cash to an Inmate.
  4. Follow the approved provider link.
  5. Select the correct facility and inmate.
  6. Review the amount and any provider fee before confirming the transaction.
  7. Save your confirmation.

Do not confuse money placed in an inmate account with a bond payment. They serve different purposes.

Sending Commissary

The Sheriff separately links to an approved commissary-order service from Jail Web Services. Use Send Commissary to an Inmate, identify the correct inmate and review the available items before payment.

Inmate Phone Calls

The Sheriff’s Inmate Telephone Services page states that incarcerated people make calls through the facility’s contracted telephone provider. Use the Sheriff’s page to reach the current provider rather than relying on an old vendor name or phone number.

Recent Arrests, Booking History and Records Requests

If someone is no longer in the live roster, the Sheriff’s Arrest Summary archive can help with recent booking research. The reports include detailed arrest and offense information but can also include non-custody bookings, so use them as an arrest record—not proof of current incarceration.

For a formal or older record, use the Pueblo County Sheriff Records process.

Pueblo County Jail Inmate Search FAQs

Use the official Pueblo County Sheriff inmate query and search by first name, last name or a partial spelling. Open the matching row and verify the person’s date of birth before relying on the record.

2. Does Pueblo County have an online jail roster?

Yes. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office provides an online Inmate Query for people currently in custody at the Pueblo County Detention Center.

3. What is the current address of the Pueblo County Detention Center?

The current detention center is at 3830 Medal of Honor Blvd, Pueblo, CO 81008. Pueblo County moved jail operations there in July 2026.

4. What is the Pueblo County jail phone number?

The Pueblo County Detention Center reception number is 719-583-6135.

5. Why is someone missing from the Pueblo County inmate search?

The person’s booking may still be processing, the spelling may differ, or the person may have been released or transferred because the public query is intended for current custody. Try a partial name, check recent Sheriff arrest reports, then use court, CDOC or Sheriff Records resources when appropriate.

6. Can I check a Pueblo County inmate’s charges and bond online?

Yes. The Sheriff’s detention FAQ directs users to the inmate query for charge and bond information. Always confirm the current bond details before submitting money.

7. How do I visit someone in the Pueblo County jail?

Pueblo County uses video visitation through JailATM. Remote visits are available from an internet-connected device, and free on-site video kiosks are available in the jail lobby subject to the Sheriff’s current limits and scheduling rules.

8. Where do I send mail to a Pueblo County inmate?

The Sheriff’s dedicated Inmate Mail page currently lists: Pueblo County Jail, Inmate Full Name – Inmate Booking #, PO Box 16120, Jonesboro, AR 72403. Because another older Sheriff resource shows a different scanning address, verify the dedicated Inmate Mail page immediately before mailing.

9. How can I find an older Pueblo County booking after the inmate leaves jail?

Check the Sheriff’s dated Arrest Summary archive for recent arrests. For a formal or older booking or charge-history record, submit a request through Pueblo County Sheriff Records. Court records may also be needed for the final case outcome.

10. What if the person was transferred from the county jail to a Colorado prison?

Use the Colorado Department of Corrections Offender Search. The Pueblo County jail query covers current county detention custody and is not a statewide prison locator.

Best way to avoid a wrong result: verify the person’s name and date of birth in the live roster, save the booking number, and use the jail record only for current custody information. Use the court system for the legal case and CDOC if the person has moved into state-prison custody.
